The smell of burning electric motor

I tried making my Huel breakfast smoothie this morning in a blender, rather than a shaker bottle, which is what I usually use.

I used an old single-serving smoothie blender that we’ve had around the house forever.

It seemed to work well, and the smell of burning electric motor added to the appeal.

However, the blender is a bit small for the serving size I like. Plus there’s a bit of splatter. Not much, but nonzero.

We have a full-size blender that I’m going to try next. It was Julie’s before we were married, and I think it’s 50 years old! Very similar to the blender my Mom had when we were kids. I often used that blender to make milkshakes.

If that doesn’t work, I’ll try a Nutribullet blender, recommended on the Huel forums. It has the appeal of being a new gadget, and having the word BULLET in the name, which provides added awesomeness.
