Goodnight Nobody (99 Percent Invisible) – New York librarian Anne Carroll Moore invented the modern children’s library in 1911, opening the minds of working-class and immigrant children to books and nature . She hated “Goodnight, Moon.”

I was never exposed to “Goodnight, Moon” as a child, and I guess I assumed, until listening to this podcast, that it was published in the 1980s. But it’s much older than that. It came out in 1947.
