Retailers are scrambling for coins as the mint scales back production to protect workers, and businesses that usually circulate coins, such as laundromats, are curtailed.

I can’t remember the last time I used coins. I pay by credit. On the rare occasion I use cash, it’s for food service, and I leave the change as part of the tip.
