Lovecraft also inspires at least one British Jewish writer: Charles Stross. I’m now reading “The Annihilation Score,” the sixth volume in his Lovecraft-inspired Laundry Files series. He also wrote a terrific novelette, “The Colder War,” set in an alternate 1980s where the US and USSR are harnessing Lovecraftian magic against each other.
