A Teenager Didn’t Do Her Online Schoolwork. So a Judge Sent Her to Juvenile Detention

Grace was required to stay in her locked room from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. She couldn’t turn the lights on and off herself and she slept on a mattress on a concrete slab, she said.

That’s her punishment for skipping homework.
