Amazon Accuses Trump of ‘Improper Pressure’ on JEDI Contract [The New York Times] Amazon said in a legal complaint unsealed on Monday that it had lost a multibillion-dollar cloud computing contract with the Pentagon because President Trump used “improper pressure” to harm Amazon’s chief executive, Jeff Bezos.
Amazon did not detail new instances of Mr. Trump’s direct involvement. Instead, the company relied on his public statements and tweets, as well as those of his son, Donald Trump Jr., and private comments reported on in the press. Amazon argued that Mr. Trump’s disdain for Amazon and Mr. Bezos was plain for everyone to see, including people directly involved in the procurement.
Trump’s corruption is in plain sight. He doesn’t bother to hide it. He proclaims it on Twitter and on television, loudly and blatantly.
